A DVD bought in the UK will be Region whereas North America Canada and USA are Region . This means that your DVDs wont play in their machine unless they have a multi region DVD player. brbrYou can always get them to search for a code on the internet which will make their DVD player mutil region though. They need to search for the make and model of player they have with multi region code into Google. Once they have found it just follow the instructions!brbrIf you wish to give them DVDs as a present I suggest either purchasing Region discs online or buying them over there.brbrAs far as I know the coding for the different regions is determined by one file on the disc, all the rest if the data is the same.
